PCIU students at ‘Exchange views with media personalities’ eventA group of students of dept. of Journalism and Media Studies of Port City International University attended at the event “Exchange views with media personalities” organized by American Corner Chittagong. This event was held on November 28, 2017 at Chittagong Independent University Auditorium. Rashed Rouf, Novelist, Writer and Journalist; Ratan Barua, Staff Reporter, Daily Azadi and Social Activist, and Rozina Islam, Senior Reporter, Daily Prothom Alo were the speakers of the event. They exchanged their views and experiences about ethics of journalism with the students.

Study Tour of Civil Engineering Department, PCIU at Muhuri Irrigation Project and Mohamaya Rubber DamThe Department of Civil Engineering of Port City International University organized a study tour and visited the Muhuri Irrigation Project and Mohamaya Rubber Dam on November 29, 2017. Students of Civil – 08 Batch (both Day and Evening program) along with several faculty members of the department took part in the tour. Muhuri Irrigation project which is situated in Feni district is one of the most important irrigation projects in Bangladesh. It collects water from three rivers namely Feni, Muhuri and Kalidas Pahalia and then distributes it to Feni Sadar, Chagalnaiya, Porshuram, Fulgazi, Shonagazi and few areas of Mirshorai sub-division for irrigation purposes during dry season and also to reduce the possibility of flood during rainy season.
