Workshop on Mooting Activities A workshop entitled “Workshop on Mooting Activities” was organized by Department of Law at the university auditorium on November 18, 2017. Professor Dr. Nurul Anwar, Honorable Vice Chancellor of PCIU, while inaugurating the programme as Chief Guest, focused on importance of legal education and practical mooting activities for building a shining career. Professor Dr. Engr. Mafzal Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering of PCIU was also present. The Workshop was conducted in collaboration with Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS) from where Imran Hossain Imon, Tohfatur Rabbi Piyal and Tanvir Azam Taif, students of Department of Law, University of Chittagong delivered their respective speech and shared their practical experiences on Mooting Activities. They made their session interactive, lively and highly impressive and the participation of our students was remarkable. The Workshop was chaired by Mrs Afroza Parveen, Chairman of the Department of Law .Munshi Nigar Amin, Lecturer of the department anchored the Workshop. Cultural Competition 2017 Cultural Competition of PCIU held at 5 th November 2017.A huge people participate in the competition. The event was so interesting. The Vice Chancellor of Port City International University, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Tayub Chowdhury, paid a courtesy meeting on the newly appointed Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed, on April 05, 2026, and extended his warm congratulations. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to enhancing the quality of education and strengthening research activities of Port City International University. The UGC Chairman appreciated the university’s progress and assured continued support in the future.
