The 61st Trust Meeting of Port City International University was held on September 06, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. M. Majibur Rahman, Hon’ble Chairman of the PCIU Trust. The meeting was graced by the presence of Mr. Zahir Ahammed, Hon’ble Founding Chairman, Mrs. Nurjahan Begum, Hon’ble Member, along with other distinguished Members of the Board of Trustees. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Hon’ble Treasurer, and other senior officials of the university were also in attendance.

During the visit, they observed newsroom operations, program production processes, and the overall workflow of a modern television channel. This hands-on experience is expected to enrich their academic understanding and prepare them for future career in journalism and media.

Oath Taking ceremony of PCIU Journalism Alumni Association (PJAA) held

The convening committee of PCIU Journalism Alumni Association (PJAA) organized the pledge- taking ceremony of its elected first executive committee on July 12, 2025, at the PCIU auditorium. The event was presided over by Mr. Partha Protim Nandy, convener of PJAA Adhoc committee and oath-taking was administered by Mr. Md. Obaydur Rahman, Registrar, PCIU, and Chief Election Commissioner of the PJAA election 2025. The ceremony, anchored by Alumnus Mr. Yasir Silmy, Chairman of Journalism & Media Studies, BGC Trust University.
